I helped Mike and Amy brush teeth and hair and clean up a bit. They are both sleeping now. It is calm now. I have been getting many calls and texts from friends and I appreciate all the love coming our way. Thank you.
The nurse in ICU said Mike looks great and they are almost sure they will move him to the 4th floor if a bed is made available. He ate some soup for lunch which he really enjoyed. It went down the wrong pipe and was a problem but we worked it out.
I called Mike and he spoke to Amy today. Mike told Amy to just go for the walk as it will make her feel much better even though the pain is major. She said he was a show off for walking and she will be training for a triathlon next. She told him it felt like part of her had been eaten by a shark. The two of them joked for a bit. Soon they will see each other again. Amy said she just wants to shake Mikes hand and see him.
Marilyn Moore and some other friends are planning to visit today. That will be very nice.
